Description
FlinQ lights are designed to bring extra illumination to your daily life. With the Solar LED Floodlights, you can sustainably brighten up the dark areas around your home. The lamp reacts to movement via motion detection, putting anyone who passes by in the spotlight. This helps keep burglars at bay, and you’ll have light when you return home in the dark.
The solar panel on top of the lamp powers the entire unit. With the sun as its battery, you never have to worry if the lamp will turn on at night when needed. The lamp charges during the day and does not activate in daylight, even if it’s in the ‘On’ position. This way, the floodlight conserves energy for the evening and night – precisely when you need illumination.
You can place the lamp in many locations around your home. Position the solar light around your driveway, in your garden, at your home’s entrance, or on your patio. The lamp is multifunctional. You can choose to stand the solar lamp or hang it. The mounting hardware is included as standard.
Rain showers are no problem. The lamp is IP65 certified, making it resistant to all weather conditions.
The lamp features two different modes. Choose between constant light or sensor mode. In sensor mode, the lamp adjusts to the battery capacity. If there’s sufficient battery, the light dims. If the battery is low, the light turns off after 20 seconds without motion.
The FlinQ solar LED floodlight is available in two variants: 5W and 10W. The difference lies in the size of the illuminated area and the light’s intensity. Choose the variant that best suits the dark areas around your home or garden.

FlinQ solar lamps – how do they actually work?
Our FlinQ solar lamps are equipped with a built-in solar panel that converts sunlight into electricity during the day. This energy is stored in a battery in the lamp, allowing it to automatically light up in the evening – no cables, no outlet needed.
Sunlight is really necessary
A solar lamp needs direct sunlight to charge properly. The more and stronger the sun shines, the fuller the battery gets and the longer the lamp can shine in the dark. On a clear summer day, the lamp charges much better than on a gray, cloudy day.
Less effective in winter
In autumn and winter, the sun is:
– less strong
– present for a shorter time
– more often covered by clouds
As a result, solar lamps can noticeably work less effectively in winter. They shine for a shorter time, less brightly, or sometimes not at all. If there is little to no sun for an extended period (for example, during days of heavy cloud cover or rainy weather), the battery may not charge sufficiently, and the lamp may not turn on at all in the evening.
Tip for the best results
– Always place the solar lamp in a location where the solar panel receives maximum sunlight (preferably not under a roof, tree, or balcony).
– Keep the solar panel clean so that it can capture light effectively.
The time it takes for a solar lamp to charge depends on various factors, such as the type of lamp, the amount of sunlight, and the battery capacity. Generally, it takes about 6 to 8 hours to fully charge a FlinQ solar lamp. Keep in mind that during the winter months, a solar lamp charges slower and less effectively than during the summer months. The number of daylight hours is significantly less in winter compared to summer months.
During the winter months, the days are much shorter and the sun’s power is significantly weaker. As a result, the lamps charge slower than in the summer months.
No, FlinQ solar lamps have a battery that cannot be replaced.
Depending on the internal battery and the type of solar panel, a FlinQ solar lamp can last up to 32 hours on a full battery. The placement of the lamp, as well as the intensity of the sun in combination with the number of sun hours in a day, determine how long a solar lamp can burn. When installing, make sure the lamp gets enough sunlight during the day.
